ST PATRICK’S Primary School students have rocked out for a good cause.
Children from the school recently belted out some tunes to aid cyclone ravaged Burma.
Parents watched on as students performed songs and dance routines.
Senior students at the school had been learning guitar and dance routines for the event.
The school choir also performed a number of songs at the concert.
School principal Mick O’Brien said he was proud of the students, who raised $256.85 for the Burma Appeal through the concert.
Providing Burmese relief was also a big part of the Junior Red Cross team’s term project.
The youngsters spent each Thursday lunchtime decorating pencils and selling them to students around the school.
They recently presented Pakenham Red Cross chair Lyn Stevenson with a $56.75 cheque from the Students’ Representative Council, as well as a decorated pencil.
