MARIBYRNONG Mantas Swimming Club was well represented at last month’s Victorian Short Course Championships with Natalie Roberts and Nathan Smith starring.

The two were the gold medal winners for the club with Roberts earning gold in the 14-years 200m breaststroke and Smith touching the wall first in the 13-years 200m butterfly.

Roberts also brought home bronze in the 100m breaststroke while Smith earned a silver in the 100m butterfly and 100m individual medley.

Other performers from the club were silver medallists Emily Camerzulie (12-years 200m breaststroke), Dylan May (16-years 100m breaststroke) and Alexandra Samarin (16-years 200m breaststroke).

Samarin also brought home bronze in the 100m breaststroke and Melissa Vukovic came home third in the 15-years 100m and 200m breaststroke.

The Mantas sent 17 swimmers to the meet with the overall performance enough to get the club ranked 13th overall.
