DOVETON Post Office has stamped its way to being recognised as one of the state’s best licensed post offices, taking home a commendation award at Australia Post’s annual state excellence awards.

Licensee Chao Chen has been at the helm of the post office for the past two years and said he had modernised it.

“We redesigned the outlet so that it’s more inviting and pleasant and at the same time we added a greater range of products for our customers’ needs,” he said.

“We go out of our way to ensure we can provide for all of our customers’ different needs and make sure that we provide top quality service.”

Mr Chen said he was surprised to receive the commendation.

Australia Post presents the awards annually to recognise excellence in all areas of its operations, including retail post outlets, mail centres and delivery centres.

Licensed post offices comprise two thirds of Australia Post’s retail outlets and are a major contributor to the infrastructure of small business in Australia.
